i don't want to disappear completely (in progress)

Summer. I spent a few days in a village in Latvia. The forest is everywhere, rare population, invasive and poisonous plants. I meet a group of teenagers, ghostly presence in this rough and frozen in past landscape. They get bored during their hot vacation days. Aiva, a young girl from the band spontaneously tells me stories about the village, stories of ghosts and haunted houses."I'm afraid of nothing, I'm afraid of ghosts," she said. They lead to me at night in places where they hide- a cabin in the forest, the disused cemetery where passes the white lady, an abandoned house, the castle park with the witch tree- and here am i in search of the last traces, perhaps, of a youth miraculously surviving. In this relatively inhospitable environment, life seems to fade slowly, without completely disappear.
« I do not want to disappear completely » exploits the ability of photography to recreate reality, experience and at the same time imply another world. The images in this serie set all reading underlying. With this tension between documentary and creation, description and evocation, was born a new narrative, allegorical and poetic, about the end of childhood.
